 composition and benefits

  • Brewer´s yeast

In addition to high-quality protein compounds with essential amino acids, brewers yeast contains B vitamins such as B1, B2, B6, niacin, folic acid, pantothenic acid and biotin. There are also various minerals and trace elements, such as potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper and selenium.

Brewer's yeast has a particularly positive effect on the skin and coat due to its high content of natural B-complex vitamins.

Biotin, iron, zinc, selenium and copper in particular support healthy skin and coat effectively.

    Benefits:

    • Healthy skin
    • Smooth and glossy coat
    • Healthy claws
  • Green lipped mussel meat

Kitties and young cats must first develop a stable skeletal system. Cartilage is particularly important for a stable skeletal system.

Green-lipped mussels contain among other things:

-Minerals such as magnesium, iron, calcium and copper, zinc, manganese.

    -Vitamins such as Vitamin A, B1, B2, B6, B12, D2, D3, E.

-All amino acids as well as omega-3 fatty acids EPA/DHA and glycosaminoglycans including chondroitin and glucosamine. -Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are long-chain amino sugar compounds that are also found in the synovial fluid.

-All ingredients of the green lipped mussel have a restorative effect on the joint cartilage, tendons and bones.

    Benefits:

    • Stable skeletal system
    • Agility & movement
    •  Strong muscles and bones
  • Spirulina

Spirulina platensis is a microalgae. It is particularly rich in vegetable protein and the natural colouring agent chlorophyll. There are about 60 g of protein in 100 g of dried spirulina. This contains all the essential amino acids.

In addition, the proportion of minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, selenium, potassium, copper manganese as well as vitamin A and beta carotene.

    Benefits of spirulina:

    • Rich in protein
    • Rich in essential amino acids
    • Rich in vitamins, minerals , trace elements

  • Amino acid L- arginine

Arginine is an essential amino acid for kitties and young cats.

One of the main functions of L-arginine is protein synthesis. Protein synthesis refers to the production of proteins, which is the basis for the muscle development of kittens and young cats.

Arginine also has the ability to convert ammonia into urea.

After each feed intake, ammonia is produced in the body and must be excreted as urea in the urine.

    Benefits:

    • Healthy growth
    • Helathy muscles and bones
    • Minimize ammonia
  • Apple pommace

Apple pomace is rich in pectin and polyphenols.

Pectin has a prebiotic effect and supports the development of healthy intestinal flora.

It forms a viscous gel in the stomach and intestines. Harmful substances and excess water are bound by the gel and excreted with the faeces. This promotes a healthy and stable intestinal flora.

    Benefits:

    • good digestion
    • healthy and stable intestinal flora.

  • Taurine

Whether as a newborn or an ageing cat, taurine is important for cats at every stage of life.It promotes a healthy development of eyesight, heart and reproduction in cats.

    Benefits:

    • Promote blood circulation
    • Support heart health
    • Support eyesight
  • B Vitamins

Vitamin B comprises a group of eight B vitamins. These are important for metabolism, haematopoiesis and the nerves.

Each individual vitamin makes an important contribution within various metabolic processes. Together they ensure that fats, carbohydrates and proteins can be optimally utilised. Some B vitamins contribute to normal energy metabolism by converting glucose. Certain B vitamins also support the functions of the nervous and immune systems, haematopoiesis or the development of nerve cells and protein synthesis.

Even if individual vitamins fulfil different tasks, all B vitamins are required simultaneously for a functioning organism.

The health benefits of B vitamins for kittens are:

    • Coat and skin health
    • Healthy claws
    • Formation of new erythrocytes
    • Support  heart and liver function
    • Cell division
    • Amino acids synthesis
  • B Vitamins and their tasks

    • VITAMIN B1 contributes to the function of energy metabolism, nerves, psyche and heart.
    • VITAMIN  B2 contributes to the function of energy and iron metabolism, nerves, mucous membranes and skin as well as vision and the maintenance of red blood cells. It also helps to protect the cells from oxidative stress and generally reduces tiredness.
    • VITAMIN B3 (niacin)contributes to the function of energy metabolism, nerves and psyche as well as to the maintenance of mucous membranes and skin and to the reduction of tiredness.
    • VITAMIN B5 contributes to the energy metabolism, synthesis and metabolism of steroid hormones, of vitamin D and of some neurotransmitters. It also helps to reduce fatigue and contributes to mental performance.
    • VITAMIN B6 contributes to cysteine metabolism and amino acids synthesis . It also supports the function of the immune system, the regulation of hormone activity, the formation of red blood cells and the reduction of fatigue.
    • VITAMIN B7 (biotin / from capital yeast) contributes to the metabolism and functioning of the nerves and psyche. It also helps to maintain skin, hair and mucous membranes.
    • VITAMIN B9 (folic acid). One of the most important functions of folic acid is cell division and the formation of new cells, iron and vitamin B12 metabolism.
    • VITAMIN B12 contributes to the functioning of the metabolism, nerves, psyche and immune system. It also helps with the formation of red blood cells, has a function in cell division and contributes to the reduction of tiredness.
